In an exclusive interview, Tippen reflected on Sylvie’s journey: “I feel like the characters have definitely grown and the storylines have definitely been more developed and we have a lot more fun, interesting things to work with even as an actor. Season 2 is definitely a special project. And it’s a fun journey.”

## On Working With Tyler Perry

Tippen praised Perry effusively: “It has been a pleasure working with Mr. Perry. He is super talented and you can just learn a lot from just being around him. He is very ambitious. He wears many hats on set which is really inspiring — he’s not only the creator of the show, he’s the director, the writer, and the producer.”

That kind of all-in creative energy has clearly rubbed off. Inspired directly by Perry, Tippen has set her sights beyond acting: “I’d love to direct and produce. I want to tell stories that connect with people and bring something new to the industry.” [DefenderNetwork](https://defendernetwork.com/under-40/bailey-tippen-beauty-black/)
