Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk will star in the upcoming romantic comedy-drama Bad Newz. The project was announced in March, and Vicky Kaushal shared a video on Monday hinting that the teaser would be released soon. Vicky Kaushal released a video on Instagram showing him playfully sliding over a sofa.
Now, the lead cast has released new posters and disclosed the trailer’s release date. And the trailer will be released on Friday. On Tuesday, Karan Johar took to Instagram to reveal three posters of the principal actors, captioned “Meet the trio-uble makers bringing the #BadNewz this season!” Vicky Kaushal portrays the character “Akhil Chadha…sab toh vadda!” in the film. Triptii takes the role of “Saloni, who is ready to take the test!?” Ammy plays “Gurbir paaji – rola pai gaya ji!”
Bad Newz Release Date
Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri were shooting in Croatia last year, and several photographs of them went viral. Vicky Kaushal was spotted cuddling Triptii tight while they shot the song. In one of the photographs, the actor is seen lifting the Animal star in his arms. Anand Tiwari, who previously worked on Bandish Bandits, will direct the upcoming film. It is set to open in theatres on July 19.
Meanwhile, Triptii Dimri is enjoying the success of Animal. The film was released in December 2023 and stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Everyone adored Triptii and Ranbir’s chemistry in the film. Aside from Bad News, she will also appear in Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
