When we were eagerly waiting to see new laptops with these new Ryzen 6000 series APUs in action, AYANEO recently announced that it will become the first to adopt the new Rembrandt APU. So, the Chinese company has announced its new AYANEO2 handheld gaming console featuring the latest 6nm based Ryzen 7 6800U.
Incidentally, this APU also comes with new RDNA2 graphics which is the first time we have seen on an AMD APU and so even for these handheld consoles as well. Though SteamDeck uses RDNA2 graphics but paired with Zen2 CPU, now with Rembrandt, you have new Zen3+ architecture, dubbed to be the most efficient ever by AMD.
As you know, this AMD Ryzen 7 6800U is a octa-core processor with a boost clock up to 4.7 GHz, so 300 MHz higher than AYANEO Next series. Also, with new RDNA2 graphics the performance should be much better the age-old integrated Vega graphics we have been seeing even in Ryzen 5000U series.
As the new AYANEO2 comes with Ryzen 7 6800U which again ships with Radeon 680M integrated graphics, featuring 12 Compute Units that could reach up to 2.2 GHz. The handheld console also features a 1280×800 resolution frameless display and the company’s CEO Arthur Zhang has new fingerprint module and new software feature.
We know nothing about the pricing and exact availability date yet but it is confirmed that the upcoming handheld gaming device will be available at the end of 2022.
