Some films don’t just make money — they rewrite their own history. **Awarapan 2**, starring Emraan Hashmi, is doing exactly that. The original 2007 *Awarapan* flopped hard at the box office before quietly becoming a cult classic over the years. Its sequel? A certified Super Hit, and it’s still climbing.

## How Much Has Awarapan 2 Earned So Far

On its third Friday, the film added Rs. 1.10–1.20 crore nett — a 120% jump from the previous day, even though it’s down roughly 80% compared to last Friday. That pushed its running total to **Rs. 141.30 crore nett** in India.

## What’s Fueling the Third Weekend

A Buy-One-Get-One ticket offer is expected to drive footfall over Saturday and Sunday, nudging the cume closer to **Rs. 145 crore**. Trade estimates suggest a possible finish around **Rs. 150 crore nett**, depending on how long the BOGO deal runs.

Backed by Vishesh Films and co-starring Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi, the romantic action drama has tapped into a genre Emraan Hashmi once ruled during his early-2010s peak with hits like *Murder 2* and *Jannat 2* — a reminder of why his [filmography](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emraan_Hashmi_filmography) still carries weight with audiences.
