Seven years later, the snap is happening all over again — this time in theatres. Bookings for **Avengers Endgame Encore** are officially open, and [Marvel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Cinematic_Universe) fans are already lining up to catch a glimpse of what’s coming in Doomsday.

## Avengers Endgame Encore: **What’s New in This Re-Release**

Endgame Encore isn’t just a straight replay of the 2019 blockbuster. Marvel has added roughly four minutes of new footage, a fresh post-credits scene, and a confirmed runtime of 185 minutes, alongside subtle color-grading tweaks to several key sequences. Joe Russo, who co-directed both Endgame and the upcoming Doomsday, has called the re-release a “critical companion story” — essentially a bridge connecting the two films.

## **The Doomsday Footage Everyone’s Talking About**

Every screening includes an exclusive first look at Avengers: Doomsday, but IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified theatres get an additional, longer sneak peek not shown elsewhere. Marvel is releasing the Encore across five formats — Standard, IMAX, Infinity Vision, ScreenX, and 4DX — with the extra Doomsday material reserved specifically for premium large-format screens.

| Detail | Information |
| --- | --- |
| Release Date | September 25, 2026 |
| Runtime | 185 minutes |
| New Footage | ~4 minutes + new post-credits scene |
| Formats | Standard, IMAX, Infinity Vision, ScreenX, 4DX |
| Doomsday Release | December 18, 2026 |

## **Why This Matters for Doomsday**

With Steve Rogers’ fate still unresolved after Endgame, fans are convinced the new footage sets up his return in Doomsday. The re-release also serves a bigger commercial purpose: Endgame currently sits just behind Avatar as the second highest-grossing film of all time, and this theatrical run could help close that gap.

## **Should You Book IMAX?**

If catching every second of new Doomsday footage matters to you, IMAX or Infinity Vision is the only way to see the full exclusive preview — standard screenings only get the shorter version.
