A fresh rumor around **Avengers: Doomsday** is putting fans on edge, suggesting Robert Downey Jr.’s **Doctor Doom** won’t just be a menacing presence — he might actually start racking up a body count among beloved MCU characters.

## What the Rumor Claims Avengers: Doomsday?

Insider leaker MyTimeToShineHello dropped a short but ominous line online, claiming Doom is “killing too many” in the film. Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed anything, so this remains firmly in rumor territory — but it lines up with earlier reports painting Doom as an unusually lethal villain.

## What We Know vs. What’s Rumored

| Detail | Status |
| --- | --- |
| Doom killing multiple characters | Rumored, unconfirmed |
| Steve Rogers & Bucky Barnes vs. Doom fight | Previously rumored |
| Directors | Joe & Anthony Russo (confirmed) |
| Screenplay | Stephen McFeely (confirmed) |
| Release Date | December 18, 2026 |
| Follow-up Film | Avengers: Secret Wars, Dec 17, 2027 |

## The Bigger Picture

An earlier rumor claimed Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes would team up against Doom in the film’s climactic battle — and that things could go badly for Bucky specifically. If Marvel is using *Doomsday* to establish Doom as a villain capable of taking down long-running heroes, it would set him up as a genuine, high-stakes threat heading into *Secret Wars*.

The film’s massive cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Vanessa Kirby, Paul Rudd, and Florence Pugh, alongside several X-Men actors — giving Doom no shortage of targets to clash with.
