Australia Women defeated India Women by 6 wickets in their second T20I to level the series 1-1. Ellyse Perry hit the winning runs for the visitors with a stunning six in her 300th game. Kim Garth was named the player of the match for her impressive 2/27 spell in four overs, helping Australia restrict the hosts to a total of 130.

A remarkable bowling performance put the pressure on India for the second innings, and they needed to get the early wickets to have a chance in the game. Although they failed to dismiss any batters in the powerplay, a quick run of wickets from Deepti Sharma helped the Blues find their way back into the game.

However, the partnership between Ellyse Perry and Tahlia McGrath was the turning point after openers Healy and Mooney were dismissed in successive overs. The boundaries flowed steadily, easing the pressure for Australia women as they slowly progressed towards the target.

Tahlia McGrath was eventually dismissed for 19 from 21 balls, before Ashleigh Gardner played a brief innings. At six down, Phoebe Litchfield stepped up to the task to score 18 from 12 balls and guide her side to the win.

With the series levelled at 1-1, the decider will be played on 9th January, Tuesday at 7 pm. India will be determined to end the home series with a win, while Australia will have the advantage of the momentum picked up from the second game.
