The wait is almost over for Korean cinema fans. **Audition 109**, one of the most anticipated Korean films of 2026, has dropped its official character posters — and they’re giving us *all* the feels before the movie even hits theaters on **April 22, 2026**.

## Meet the Cast: Who’s Who in Audition 109?

Audition 109 is a sequel to Jung Woo’s beloved film *Wish*, following Jjanggu — a young man who leaves Busan for Seoul to chase his dream of becoming an actor, facing repeated rejection yet refusing to quit.

Here’s a quick breakdown of each character from the newly released posters:

| Character | Actor | Vibe in the Poster |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Jjanggu | Jung Woo | Calm, determined, cap pulled low — pure grit |
| Min Hee | Krystal | Distant, complex — pulling close yet drifting away |
| Jang Jae | Shin Seung Ho | Flustered but charming — Jjanggu’s loyal best friend |
| Joon Sang | Hyun Bong Sik | Polished suit, confident smirk — classic rival energy |
| Kkangnaengi | Jo Beom Gyu | Wide-eyed and wild — Seoul’s comedic culture shock |
| Soo Young | Kwon So Hyun | Steady and grounded — the film’s emotional anchor |

## Why These Posters Hit Differently

Every poster in this lineup feels intentional. Jung Woo’s unwavering gaze reflects the persistence of youth that keeps rising despite failure — something many of us quietly relate to. Krystal’s hard-to-read eyes and distant demeanor reveal layered emotions, caught between drawing closer and pulling away. That tension alone is enough to buy a ticket.

Shin Seung Ho’s momentary honesty contrasting with his usual bravado highlights his down-to-earth charm [soompi](https://www.soompi.com/article/1832915wpp/jung-woo-krystal-shin-seung-ho-and-more-bring-unique-personalities-to-life-in-audition-109-posters), while Jo Beom Gyu fills the frame with wide, startled eyes and exaggerated expressions hinting at humorous situations while adapting to Seoul life.

This is a film about chasing dreams in an unforgiving city — a theme as universal as it gets. For more on the history of Korean cinema’s rise globally, check out the [Korean Wave on Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Wave).
