# Aubameyang at Deportivo: 5 Goals in 5 La Liga Games at Age 37 URL: https://technosports.co.in/aubameyang-depor-five-goals/ Published: 2026-09-14 Updated: 2026-09-14 Author: Raunak Saha Five goals in five La Liga games is the number reshaping Deportivo de La Coruña’s season, and [Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre-Emerick_Aubameyang) reached that mark after scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Getafe on September 13, 2026. At 37, with his birth date listed as June 18, 1989, the striker has become Depor’s clearest attacking reference. No confirmed injury, suspension, or quote from Aubameyang, Deportivo, or the coach was available in the latest match information. That leaves the performance itself as the strongest evidence of his impact. ## The five-goal sequence Aubameyang’s listed goals have come against **Getafe, Villarreal, Valencia, Malaga, and Elche**. The sequence covers his first five La Liga appearances for Deportivo, with the Getafe goal extending a run that had already seen him score in each of his first four league matches. The Getafe equaliser arrived in the **77th minute**, after Ramón Terrats had put the home side ahead in the **66th minute**. The timing matters because Aubameyang did not need a complete match dominated by Deportivo to influence the result. One decisive moment restored parity and preserved a point away from home. The verified match record also describes the run as a **21st-century club record** for Deportivo. That gives the streak significance beyond the striker’s personal tally: Aubameyang has set the most productive opening league sequence listed for the club in this period. ![India FTA Steel Quota: 1.64Mt Allocation Reshapes Car Import Landscape](https://technosports.co.in/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/Aubameyang-Deportivo.webp) | La Liga opponent | Aubameyang outcome | Verified match detail | | --- | --- | --- | | Getafe | Scored | Equaliser in the 77th minute | | Villarreal | Scored | Winning goal in a 3-2 Deportivo victory | | Valencia | Scored | Listed among his five goals | | Malaga | Scored | Listed among his five goals | | Elche | Scored | Listed among his five goals | ## Match metrics show more than finishing The most complete listed performance came in **Villarreal 2-3 Deportivo de La Coruña**, reported on September 5. Aubameyang scored the winning goal and registered **two assists**, making that match his clearest example of complete attacking influence rather than simple penalty-box finishing. That output suggests two separate responsibilities. First, Aubameyang is arriving in scoring positions often enough to produce in every listed appearance. Full coverage via [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.com/sport). Second, his passing has helped Deportivo turn transitions into chances for teammates. The Villarreal display therefore gives the streak a wider tactical meaning: opponents must track his runs while also protecting the players he can release. Deportivo had **eight points** and sat **fourth** in the table at that stage, following the Villarreal victory. The later draw at Getafe added another point, although no updated league position is confirmed in the available facts. Here’s the thing: a 37-year-old forward producing five goals in five matches changes how defenders can approach Deportivo. A high defensive line risks space behind it, while a deeper block gives Aubameyang more opportunities to receive near the area and combine with runners. ![India FTA Steel Quota: 1.64Mt Allocation Reshapes Car Import Landscape](https://technosports.co.in/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/gettyimages-2288185899.avif) ## Why Aubameyang matters to Deportivo Aubameyang’s value is not limited to the **five-goal** figure. The Villarreal match supplied two assists, while the Getafe fixture showed his capacity to rescue a result late in the contest. Those separate contributions make him both a finisher and a release point when Deportivo need to move the ball forward quickly. His age makes the sequence more striking, but the verified evidence does not support claims about physical condition or workload beyond the matches listed. There is no confirmed injury update, and there is no available coach quote explaining his role. We should therefore judge the player through the recorded goals, assists, and match outcomes rather than assume hidden tactical details. That analytical caution matters for supporters in India and around the world. Five goals in five games creates excitement, but Deportivo’s position was confirmed at fourth only at the Villarreal stage. The club’s challenge is to convert Aubameyang’s individual production into sustained points across the campaign. The Getafe draw also showed that his goals can protect points when Deportivo fall behind, while the Villarreal win demonstrated how his scoring and creativity can decide a high-scoring contest. For opponents, the priority will be limiting the service and the space around Aubameyang. For Deportivo, the priority is maintaining the supply that has produced goals against five different teams. If those patterns continue, Aubameyang’s form will remain central to the club’s push from the fourth-place position recorded after the Villarreal victory. The five-goal run has made Aubameyang’s headline, but Deportivo’s table position will determine how valuable that headline becomes. ## Related Articles - [Eder Sarabia Announces Shock Elche Exit Just Four Days After Securing La Liga Survival](https://technosports.co.in/eder-sarabia-announces-shock-elche-exit-4-days/) - [Villarreal vs Atletico Madrid Match Preview, Prediction, Timings, Lineups, Teams, and How…](https://technosports.co.in/villarreal-vs-atletico-madrid-match-preview/) - [Barcelona vs. Villarreal Match Preview, Prediction, Teams, Timings, How to Watch —…](https://technosports.co.in/barcelona-vs-villarreal-match-preview/) --- ## FAQs ### How many La Liga goals has Aubameyang scored for Deportivo?
