Atletico Madrid are advancing in talks with Real Sociedad to sign Robin Le Normand. The defender is high up on the priority list for the Rojiblancos, and they are keen on wrapping up a deal for the Spain international within the coming days.
Le Normand is currently representing La Roja at Euro 2024, having started both of their group stage matches against Croatia and Italy. With personal terms already agreed, the two clubs only need to find an agreement for the compensation involved to get the deal over the line.

The 27-year-old is keen on playing Champions League football with Atletico Madrid from the coming season. And with two years remaining on his contract, Sociedad are also in a good position to get a sizeable compensation for one of their top players.
Robin Le Normand has been on Sociedad’s books since joining their B-team in 2016. And after spending eight years with them, he seems set to move on for a new challenge in the capital city.
However, he isn’t the only Sociedad player eager to join Atletico Madrid this summer, since Mikel Merino has also expressed his desire to join the Rojiblancos. Now, it remains to be seen whether Diego Simeone’s side can complete the double swoop to reinforce their squad amidst the departures of Gabriel Paulista, Mario Hermoso and potentially, Saul Niguez as well.
