Atletico Madrid have agreed a deal with Real Sociedad for Robin Le Normand, with the Rojiblancos set to pay €30 million for the centre-back.
The player was already open to the move, and has agreed personal terms over a contract with Atletico already. The two clubs are now set to exchange documents and will finalise the transfer once the Euros are over in mid-July.

The 27-year-old has started three of Spain’s four games at Euro 2024 thus far. And unfortunately, his own goal was the first goal that La Roja conceded in the tournament, after keeping a streak of three clean sheets in their group stage games.
While Robin Le Normand is a great new signing for Diego Simeone’s side, the club is keen on signing another central defender. Mario Hermoso, Caglar Soyuncu and Gabriel Paulista have all left the club upon the expiry of their contracts, and adding another player to reinforce the backline is the priority now.
Atletico are also in contact with Real Sociedad over Mikel Merino, with the defensive midfielder also open to a switch to the Spanish capital if the clubs can agree on a fee.
