ATK Mohun Bagan FC (the newly merged entity of ISL club ATK and I-League club Mohun Bagan) has roped in a new attacker for the upcoming season.

The club announced on Tuesday that India international Manvir Singh has joined ATK Mohun Bagan FC on a three-year contract. He played for FC Goa in the last three editions of ISL.

Manvir said after signing the contract: “Kolkata has a very special place in my heart and I am very happy to be back here. It will be a great honour to turn out for this special club in the green and maroon and I look forward to representing ATK Mohun Bagan FC for years to come.”.

The 24-year-old began his ISL football career during the 2017-18 season. He made his debut with FC Goa and made 9 appearances in his first season to help them finish third in the standings. In his second season, he scored one goal from 19 appearances during Goa’s run to the ISL 2018-19 final.

Last season, Manvir featured 19 times for FC Goa and scored two crucial goals as they finished top of the table. He made a total of 47 appearances for FC Goa in the last three seasons of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) and scored three goals for the club.

Manvir will now look to add more firepower to the attacking ranks of ATK Mohun Bagan, who already have talented attacking player including the likes of Roy Krishna, Edu Garcia and Jobby Justin. They will hope to continue the success of ATK in ISL. They have won the highest number of ISL trophies [3] to date.
