Bengaluru FC and ATK Mohun Bagan played out a 3-3 draw in the ISL to share a point each. Here are the three talking points from the entertaining draw between the two big teams.
Set-piece goals galore
Subhashish Bose’s opener was the first goal of the night, and it came from a corner. Cleiton Silva’s equaliser was also a set-piece, being a penalty, and was won from a corner. Danish Bhat’s goal would also come from a corner, alongside Prince Ibara netting the third goal for Bengaluru FC.
ATK would turn to Roy Krishna to score a penalty and ended up on level terms, being unable to score further. There were five set piece goals on the night, counting penalties, and three from corners alone.
Bengaluru FC: fallen giants
The team looks like a shadow of its former self, being relegated to mid table despite having a number of great players. Given their play so far this season, it seems like the team is headed for another season with a mid table finish.
ATK Mohun Bagan in a slump
The Mariners have not won a game in their last four outings, which is their worst run ever in the ISL. They have only picked up two points from an available twelve, which is a poor number considering their standards.
The Maroon and Green club is now in the middle of the table as well, with 8 points from 6 games so far this season.
