Yes, you heard that right. The Asus ZenFone 8 is officially slated to debut in India, the mini Android Flaghship is said to release with a different name in the Indian market, but it will feature the same specs as the original device.
Featuring a simple dual camera array and a sub-6-inch display, the Asus ZenFone 8 is likely to stand out in the Indian Android Flagship market. Asus executives have expressed their optimism about the ZenFone 8 and that there is already a popular demand for the device.
Asus has already updated their Indian website, with the specs and details of the Asus ZenFone 8. Powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor, featuring a 5.9″HDR AMOLED display along with a high refresh rate of 120Hz, the device has impressive specs.
It will feature a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 64MP main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. It will feature a 12MP front camera for selfies.
It has an IP68 water resistance rating and has a standard 3.5mm audio jack.
It is almost certain that the ZenFone 8 will debut as the Asus 8Z, due to the OEM’s inability to use the term ZenFone 8 in India. Dinesh Sharma, Head of Business(commercial PC and smartphone) at the System Business Group of Asus national division in India tweeted that the Asus 8 Flip will be a refreshed version of the Asus 7 Pro with an updated processor.
Asus will possibly launch the Asus 8Z alongside the 8Z flip soon.
