ASUS updates VivoBook Flip 14 (TM420) with up to AMD Ryzen 7 5700U APUs

ASUS launches new Intel Tiger Lake powered VivoBook variants

Last year ASUS announced their new affordable 2-in-1 laptop ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 laptop with AMD Ryzen 4000U processors. These laptops were very well received in the market but were hard to get because of the demand; having owned one and reviewed one, the VivoBook Flip 14 is a great 2-in-1 option for the budget.

So, ASUS has this time just refreshed the hardware of the laptop, rest everything remains almost the same. You still get a 14-inch full-HD LED-backlit touch display with 45% NTSC coverage and to be fair its quite good but could have been more color accurate for the asked price.

Much like last year, you can still configure the VivoBook Flipk 14 with up to an 8 core, 16 threaded AMD Ryzen 7 5700U, so you can opt for the budget Ryzen 3 5300U or the Ryzen 5 5500U. The laptop comes with 8 GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 3,200MHz, which is expandble up to 12GB as one slot is soldered and you get up to 512GB M.2 NVME PCIe X2 SSD for storage.

Connectivity and ports remains the same as that of last-gen with Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.0 support, while for ports you have a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, HDMI 1.4, audio jack combo, and a microSD card reader.

The laptop still comes with Harman Kardon tuned speakers, weighs 1.5kg and has a HD camera as well. This time though, the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 (TM 420) starts at Rs. 59,990 and comes in only Bespoke Black colour varaint.
