Finally, it’s here, after a prompt launch of the Acer Swift 3 laptop with Ryzen 4000U mobile APUs, the Taiwanese OEM has launched its much-speculated Asus TUF Gaming A15 and A17 laptops with AMD Ryzen 4000H gaming processors in India.
With more gaming processors, we see more CPU variants: Ryzen 5 4600H, Ryzen 7 4800H, and Ryzen 9 4900H also being used by Asus. The more budget-friendly gaming laptop with Ryzen 5 4500H which will be far better in performance and cheaper than Intel counterparts.

There’s not much difference between the A15 and A17 gaming laptops, the major difference being the A15 features a 15.6-inch display with up to 144Hz refresh rate while the TUF Gaming A17 comes with a bigger 17.3-inch panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
On the dedicated GPU options, the both variants have a minor difference as the TUF Gaming A15 can be configured with up to 6GB of Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU on whereas the A17 can be configured up to 4GB of Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660Ti.
This can be paired with up to 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and for storage, up to 1TB 5400RPM SATA HDD, along with up to 1TB PCIe Gen3 SSD options. Asus gives easy RAM and storage upgrade options as well and there’s up to 2 SSD slot for expansion as well.
The laptops come with Gigabit Wave 2 Wi-Fi 5 for connectivity and its dual fans with self-cleaning anti-dust technology to extend system longevity. You can connect an external monitor for multitasking via the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with G-SYNC enabled DisplayPort 1.4, and play 4K Ultra HD movies, videos, and games on big-screen TVs with HDMI 2.0b.
According to Asus, the laptops feature two upgraded speakers with four cut-outs pump out 1.8x more sound with 2.7x deeper bass than its predecessor. The three heatsinks on the sides of the laptop keep it cool while prolonged gaming sessions, also you can upgrade your laptop’s RAM and SSD as it has a simplified easy-upgrade design.
Sadly outside India, Asus has upgraded these laptops to a whopping 90WHr battery which gives nearly double the battery life over previous versions. But, in India, the variants come with lower 48Wh battery which should only last up to 4-5 hours on a single charge.
The Asus TUF Gaming A15 is now available in India with two colour variants: Bonfire Black and Fortress Grey. The Bonfire Black variant has a starting price of Rs. 60,900 while the Fortress Grey colour variant has a starting price of Rs. 62,990. The base model features an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor along with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU.
On the other hand, the Asus TUF Gaming A17 with Fortress Grey colour variant starts at Rs. 60,990. The TUF Gaming A15 is already available on Amazon and will also be available at Reliance stores across India and the TUF Gaming A17 will go arrive sometime in mid-June on Flipkart.
