ASUS sets record revenue, posts $1.71 billion in June

The Taiwan OEM giant ASUS or Asustek Computers has a great run in the market, thanks to the increasing demand for PCs and laptops. The giant is already stunning the world with its new products; however, it also posted some great revenue records.

As the Digitimes report points out, thanks to the increase in sales of notebooks, motherboards and graphics cards, ASUS has enjoyed consolidated revenues to a 55-month high of a whopping NT$47.95 billion (or US$1.71 billion) in June 2021.

This is a record achievement ASUS has created that ended the second quarter of 2021 at NT$128.1 billion; this is almost 39% year-on-year improvement in revenue and beating its estimate. Thanks to its fantastic June consolidated revenues that were up by 17% sequentially and 21.8% year-on-year.

ASUS has enjoyed a fantastic 2021; the amount for the first half is growing nearly 50% to come to NT$244.24 billion.

Indeed the fantastic sales for PC parts and components, ASUS points out that sales increase by 30% year-on-year in the second quarter, while those of motherboards and graphics cards went up more than 40% year-on-year.

It’s not only limited to PC and notebooks, as ASUS has also enjoyed robust handset revenues, as it also more than doubled from a year ago in the Q2, thanks to strong demand for its gaming smartphones.

In terms of smartphones, ASUS’s prowess has been shown with the new limited edition smartphone unveiled by Qualcomm in partnership with ASUS. We expect ASUS to continue its fine run as tomorrow it plans to launch new Chromebooks in India.
