ASUS is preparing for the imminent launch of its latest smartphone series, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 lineup, which is anticipated to feature three variants: the ASUS ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate, as previously disclosed in the IMEI database listing. Recently, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate made headlines when it surfaced on the Geekbench website, confirming that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. In the latest development, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Ultimate has now obtained 3C certification in China.

According to details previously unveiled in the Geekbench listing, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate is expected to boast up to 6GB of RAM and will come pre-installed with Android 14. As of now, specific details about the ROG Phone 8 series beyond these aspects remain undisclosed. Further certifications in the coming days may provide additional information about the ROG Phone 8, ROG Phone 8 Pro, and ROG Phone 8 Ultimate.

The upcoming ROG Phone 8 series serves as the successor to the ROG Phone 7 lineup, which debuted in April of the current year. The ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, part of the previous lineup, feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2448 pixels, HDR10+ support, and an impressive 165Hz refresh rate.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, both devices offer up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Running on Android 13 out of the box, the smartphones boast a 50MP triple-camera setup, a 32MP selfie camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Further emphasizing their capabilities, both devices are equipped with a 6,000mAh battery supporting 65W fast charging.
