ASUS will be launching the ROG Phone 6 Series on the 5th of July, as is the case with most smartphones, the upcoming smartphone lineup has been subject to a leak. Tipster Evan Blass has shared multiple official images of the upcoming gaming phone. We have some of the specifications of the smartphone as the company has hinted at it and we have seen it via their certification listings.
Here’s what we know about the ASUS ROG Phone 6 so far:
The 6th iteration of the Republic of Gamers lineup will arrive with a 6.78″ AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 165Hz. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen1 making it the first smartphone to do so. The leaked images give us a better idea of what to expect in terms of design.
From the images, the front of the upcoming device is very similar to its predecessors and that is completely fine. Users have lauded the unique and standout design that the ROG lineup has, just a look at it and you can guess that it is a gaming smartphone. It has a large display with bezels on the top and bottom along with stereo speakers on the front.
Coming to the back panel, there is a triple camera setup, the official ROG branding, and an RGB LED matrix in the shape of the brand’s logo in the corner. As per the images, the device will come in a black and white color version.
Apart from the specifications already mentioned above, ASUS’ latest gaming phone will have an integrated fingerprint sensor within the display for biometrics. It will come in an 18GB RAM version along with 512GB of internal storage.
It will run on Android 12 OS with ROG UI on top and it will be juiced by a 6,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging support. The camera setup will be a 64MP primary sensor with an ultrawide angle lens and a macro sensor. On the front, we are likely to see a 12MP selfie shooter.
