The Taiwan giant ASUS is well known for its own gaming brand ROG or Republic of Gamers that is predominant in making gaming laptops, motherboards and desktops as well as other gaming accessories. ASUS ROG Phone 2 Specs
The gaming smartphone packs a 6.59-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the display has 1ms response time and 10-bit HDR support. Being protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6, the display is claimed to offer a touch sampling rate of 240Hz & touch latency of just 49ms.
The ASUS ROG Phone 2 is powered by the best Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC that has a tri-cluster design of the eight-core Kryo 485 CPU with clock speed up to 2.96GHz. It is coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 of internal storage.
Talking about the cameras, on the rear end we have a 48MP primary camera and a 13MP wide-angle camera with a 125-degrees field of view. For selfies, we have a 24MP front camera. The smartphone packs a 6,000mAh huge battery which has Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging support.
The ROG Phone 2 has a dual front-facing stereo speaker with DTS: X Ultra support. It features the new Air Trigger 2 which is the upgraded version of the Asus ROG Phone’s ultrasonic shoulder buttons that gives a console controller-like gaming experience.
The Asus ROG Phone 2 runs on ROG UI which is based on Android Pie and features an in-display fingerprint sensor. The retail unit of the gaming smartphone comes included with 10W QC 4.0 charger and an AeroCase cover.
The smartphone has a starting price of Rs.37,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and it will go on sale from September 30 via Flipkart. The higher-end variant with 12GB + 512GB carries a price tag of Rs.59,999 and the package will include a 30W ROG Charger, AeroActive Cooler, and the Aero Case.
Talking of the ROG Phone 2 accessories, Asus has a TwinView Dock priced at Rs.19,999, along with a Mobile Desktop station and ROG Kunai Gamepad that will be available at Rs.12,999 and Rs.9,999 respectively. The ROG 30W charger will be sold separately and will be priced at Rs.1,999.
