The Taiwan OEM has been a major part of bringing AMD’s new tech, apparantly the Ryzen 4000U & H-series mobile APUs, to the consumers. When almost all OEMs are facing issues with AMD’s chip availability, ASUS continues to bring new laptops to market, thanks to its exclusive partnership with the Red team that allows them to use these Ryzen 4000HS processors drawing 35W power.
So, the new gaming laptop from ASUS is a bit unique while retaining the same horsepower as its widely acclaimed ROG Zephyrus G14 does. This ASUS ROG Magic 14-ACRNM Limited Edition Gaming Laptop has been made in collaboration with the world’s top fashion brand ACRONYM, a Munich-based brand, known for its highly-innovative and versatile designs which often utilizes a monochromatic palette.
This is why it is a limited edition laptop and it carries that ‘ZPHRYS’ branding on the bottom panel of the laptop while it has dotted top panel with an unique design. This unique looking gaming laptop has been launched in China and interestingly, it comes in a single RAM and storage configuration.
The ASUS ROG Magic 14-ACRNM Limited Edition gaming laptop features a 14-inch QHD (2,560×1,440 pixels) IPS display with 16:9 aspect ratio and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It borrows a lot of good things from its brother ROG Zephyrus G14, as this one’s display is also Pantone validated to help get accurate colors.
As for performance, you have the monstrous 8 core & 16 threaded Ryzen 9 4900HS processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU with 6GB of VRAM. Also, the laptop comes with an insane 32GB of RAM clocked at 3,200MHz along with 1TB SSD storage.
Then there’s ASUS’s new feature in 2020 – the AniMe Matrix on the lid of the gaming laptop. It is made by the CNC milling process with 6536 precise perforations and 1215 mini LEDs to reproduce 8-bit patterns, texts, animations and what not!
For connectivity, you have both Wi-Fi & Bluetooth while for ports you get an HDMI port, three USB 3.0 ports, along with a USB 3.1 port. Much like the ROG Zephyrus G14, this gaming laptop is devoid of a webcam, however, it’s thin and light measuring 324.6×222.4×19.9mm in dimensions and weighs just 1.7kg.
The ASUS ROG Magic 14-ACRNM Limited Edition Gaming Laptop has been launched in China in one variant only and it costs a hefty CNY 20,999 (around Rs. 2.28 lakh). It is already available in the country via Asus store, JD.com, and TMall.
