The Taiwanese OEM isn’t stopping at launching new laptops with AMD’s new Ryzen 5000 series processors. A new report from ITHome emerges that tells ASUS has announced a new laptop called VivoBook14X Ryzen Edition powered with up to Zen 2 refresh AMD Ryen 7 5700U with 8 cores and 16 threads.
The laptop is said to have a starting price of 4599 yuan or US$701.35 is paired with a 512GB PCl-e solid-state drive and 16GB DDR4 dual-channel memory. Also, the refreshed Ryzen 7 5700U is good at handling most everyday tasks with all the 8 Zen 2 cores clocked at 1.8GHz base and up to 4.3GHz boost clock speeds.
Then, you have 16 threads and an L3 cache of 8MB, consuming just 15W of TDP. The VivoBook 14X is said to be light, weighing just 1.4kg and about 16.9mm thin.
It features a 14-inch full HD screen with 100% sRGB color gamut and 5.7mm narrow frame. Also, the display has 84% screen-to-body ratio, and supports DC hybrid dimming. Not only this, this notebook also supports AI intelligent noise reduction to filter environmental background noise.
Although the capacity of the battery is not stated but supports fast charging, taking up 60% of the charge in just takes 45 minutes. Also, it features WiFi Master technology that intelligently switches high-quality signals.
