Asus Chromebook Flip C436 2-in-1 laptop with Comet Lake-U CPUs starts at $799

Samsung recently started shipping its premium as well as expensive Samsung Galaxy Chromebook convertible at a whopping price of $999. To follow them, Asus has started shipping its new Chromebook Flip C436 in the US and will be quite similar to the Chromebook 715 carrying a hefty starting price of $799.99.

Even though of its hefty price tag, the Chromebook Flip C436 2-in-1 laptop has a lightweight magnesium alloy chassis weighing just 1.1 kg. The Chromebook features a 14-inch NanoEdge FHD touch display bordered by 4.9 mm bezels on three sides, with its slightly thicker bottom bezel coming in at 7 mm.

The Chromebook Flip C436 measures 12.6 x 8.1 x 0.5-inches, comes equipped with a 42 Wh battery, and for the ports we have two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, a 3.5 mm jack and a microSD card reader. This Project Athena laptop that can run for up to 12 hours on a single charge.

It features a precision-engineered mechanism, the versatile 360° ErgoLift hinge on ASUS Chromebook Flip C436 has a silky-smooth action that holds the display securely at any angle. It has a Quad-speaker along with upward-facing soundbar.

ASUS Chromebook Flip C436 has a full‑size backlit keyboard that boasts 1.2 mm of key travel to make typing more comfortable and accurate and a fingerprint sensor is incorporated into the keyboard for faster unlocks.

The Flip C436 supports the latest Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) 1.0 standard to give you a natural-feeling active stylus experience so you can unleash your creativity: draft notes, sketch, or jot down your ideas whenever they strike you

Originally announced back a CES 2020, the Flip C436’s entry-level model, will retail for $799.99 featuring a Core i3-10110U processor, 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage. If you are ready to spend $999.99 on the Core i5-10210U model along with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of SSD storage.

Even though the Flip C436 will also be considered as an expensive Chromebook at $799 so it will obviously be targeted towards professionals but with its hardware capabilities, it’s far better than the Google Pixelbook Go. Check out the Asus official site.
