Mumbai, India, January 5, 2022 — ASUS today announced the Dual Radeon™ RX 6500 XT and TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics cards.

Built on a 6 nm manufacturing process and the breakthrough AMD RDNA™ 2 gaming architecture, these new graphics cards are designed to make incredible 1080p gaming experiences for popular AAA and esports titles accessible to more gamers. They offer high-bandwidth, low-latency AMD Infinity Cache™ and high-speed 4 GB GDDR6 memory. They also support Microsoft Windows 11 and Microsoft DirectX® 12 Ultimate, AMD Smart Access Memory™ technology, AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution upscaling technology and other advanced features that provide visually stunning, high-refresh-rate gaming experiences.

The Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT uses a compact two-slot design that can fit into equally compact small-form-factor builds with ease. With the ASUS-exclusive Axial-tech fan design and an 85-watt power draw, this card is designed to bring excellent 1080p performance without introducing excessive heat or noise to a build.

Barrier rings around the fan direct airflow straight to the heatsink, allowing the GPU to stay cool under load. In lighter workloads, zero-decibel technology turns the fans completely off for silent operation, only spinning up when the GPU temperature reaches 60° C. Subtle RGB lighting on the shroud and an aluminium backplate gives the card a distinctly premium feel, despite a lower price than its higher-end brethren.

ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT

For a slightly more performant graphics card, ASUS offers the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT. With a 2.7-slot heatsink and dual Axial-tech fans, it can reach lower temperatures than the Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card while maintaining similar noise levels and facilitating a 90-watt power budget for a slightly higher sustained GPU clock speed. Or, thanks to a dual BIOS, users can switch the TUF Gaming card into Q mode, which prioritizes quiet operation.

The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card features a stylish and angular design to stand as the centrepiece of your build, with Aura RGB lighting on the TUF logo. Aura Sync compatibility gives users the freedom to match the card’s lighting to the rest of their system, while the aluminium backplate shows a bit of that extra TUF spirit. Meanwhile, the backplate’s vented edge allows air to pass through the heatsink for optimal cooling. And as with other TUF Gaming products, the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card uses military-grade capacitors and goes through a rigorous set of tests to ensure durability and longevity.

Both cards are built using ASUS-exclusive Auto-Extreme technology, a manufacturing process that cleanly solders components without human intervention for a high-quality final result designed to stand the test of time. With both the Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT and the TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics cards, users have two great choices for whatever build they are planning.
