Tom Heaton who was a veteran goalkeeper for Aston Villa and is now joining Manchester United on a free transfer.
The transfer will be announced on 1st July post completion of medical which will take place in late June.
Reports have emerged that Heaton has signed a 2-year contract with Manchester United with an extension clause which can be triggered by the club for another year.
After the departure of Sergio Romero, Heaton has been signed as his replacement as the third-choice goalkeeper.
Both David De Gea and Dean Henderson will be looking to get the No.1 shirt, however, the most possible candidate for the No.1 shirt is Dean Henderson.
However, both of them are top class keepers and are just too good to be warming the bench as a second choice keeper.
So, out of the both of them whoever has to be the backup will most possibly looking to leave the club for more first-team game time.
Tom Heaton has previously spent 6 years as a Man united youth academy product from 2004 till 2010.
The veteran goalkeeper also has 3 caps for the England National team and brings vast experience along with him into the team which prove valuable for the upcoming goalkeepers in Old Trafford.
