Aston Villa and Juventus have reached an agreement for a swap deal involving Douglas Luiz moving to Turin, while Samuel Illing-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea will be joining the Premier League club.
The Clarets will also receive €28 million in addition to the players from Juventus, as they value Douglas Luiz at €50 million and are only valuing the incoming duo at €22 million.

As reported by Italian journalists Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have reached a full agreement on the terms of the deal, with an official announcement to be made soon.
Weston McKennie was previously involved in the deal, and was set to return to the Premier League. However, Juventus seemingly have other plans for the USA international as things stand.
Luiz has been one of Aston Villa’s best players over the last three years, having initially joined them in 2019. However, the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules are forcing the club to sell players to raise funds, even though they are one of the only clubs to be out of debt.
As per Birmingham Live, Villa co-owner Nassef Sawiris is considering legal action against the Premier League for the PSR, given ambitious teams like Newcastle United and Aston Villa are being forced to deplete their squad in spite of making it to the top six, amidst claims from the League that the rules have been put in place to promote healthy competition.

Douglas Luiz was signed by Manchester City in 2017, and he spent two seasons on loan at Girona before joining Villa in 2019.
