Assassins Creed Mirage reveals its entire Map size

According to the developers, the map of Assassins Creed Mirage will be analogous to AC Unity’s Paris or AC Revelations’ Constantinople. Of course, it’s always been known that AC Mirage was a considerably smaller-scale project than, say, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s massive sandbox. This analogy, at the very least, clarifies the expectations surrounding exploration.

Assassins Creed Mirage does not have a bloated open world, and because it returns to a city-focused setting, its parkour appears to have been slightly enhanced.

Many fans have been clamoring for additional details, as while a few new parkour skills have been announced for Assassins Creed Mirage, items like side and back ejects remain unclear.

The parkour has also been compared to the Ezio games, and it is evident that it is extremely similar to AC Valhalla, albeit in a better, more defined scenario. While fans still need to learn how to navigate the city, they already know the map size.

According to Easy Allies, who spoke with Ubisoft during Summer Game Fest, the developers “compared it specifically to Constantinople in Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Paris in Assassin’s Creed Unity.” This quickly indicates a smaller scale, but it remains a little perplexing, owing to the significant disparity between Constantinople and Paris.

According to vg247, Constantinople has a land area of 0.94 km2, while Paris has a land area of 2.40 km2. It’s still sufficient to know that Assassins Creed Mirage is far smaller than the previous three mainstream games.

It will take a few months before fans can completely comprehend how the map size affects Basim’s story, but how that city is filled is equally important to the experience. Fans have had a little taste of how the city is laid out to accommodate Ezio-style parkour, but Game Rant was also promised in an interview last year that Assassins Creed Mirage will have crows similar to those found in AC Unity. This is significant for stealth, maneuverability, and making the city feel as alive as AC Unity’s Paris.

Assassins Creed Mirage will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 12.
