Roma have officially announced the signing of Artem Dovbyk from Girona in a deal worth €30.5 million, making him their fifth most expensive signing of all-time.
Dovbyk is the first Ukrainian to play for Roma, and will wear the number 11 shirt at his new club. He makes the move after winning the Pichichi Award in LaLiga this past season, scoring 24 goals in 36 games while also providing eight assists.

The talented striker found his feet with Girona this past season, and helped them qualify for the Champions League by leading the attack. He was close to signing for Atletico Madrid as well, but could not agree personal terms with them.
Roma’s owners, the Friedkin Group, were personally involved in convincing the 27-year-old to make the move. First team manager Daniele De Rossi also played an important role, personally speaking to the striker to convince him.
With his arrival, Roma have a massive option up-front, allowing them to engage in the potential swap deal with AC Milan involving Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic. Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, are trying to bring in Alexander Sorloth from Villarreal to reinforce their attack.
How long is Dovbyk’s contract with Roma?
