AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey has confirmed that Arsene Wenger, FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, will be in India later this month. The legendary Arsenal manager signed up to help improve Indian football, with plans for Vision 2047 laid out.
Now, the 74-year-old will visit India personally to discuss the state of the sport in the country. Talks over the opening of a central academy will take place, while he will also attend games in the ISL and the I-League.

I wish to bring in ISL, ILeague club owners & football NGOs for a spl session hosted by @IndianFootball,” Kalyan Chaubey wrote on his X account.
Wenger’s arrival in India will help kickstart their plans to improve football at the grassroot level in the country. The steady rise in quality and popularity of the sport has led to the foundation of a tier-based league system.
The collaboration with FIFA is expected to help improve the development of youngsters through football education.
