Mikel Arteta has reportedly hired some criminals to pickpocket his players’ personal belongings at dinner. The manager asked his squad to empty out their belongings on the table, and some players found items missing.
This move from the Spaniard was to teach his players the importance of being ‘alert and aware at all times.’
It’s easy to see why Arteta is taking up these measures to prepare for the new season after Arsenal’s failure to claim the Premier League title over the past two seasons. And it remains to be seen whether these unconventional tactics can help the team finally dethrone Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side this time around.
