Arsenal have submitted an official offer for Shakhtar Donetsk forward Mykhaylo Mudryk worth €45 million up front with €25 million in the form of add-ons. However, it is still far short of the €100 million valuation that the Ukrainian club want for their man.
Mudryk, however, has expressed his desire to play for the North London side in the past. And to bolster their squad for the remainder of the season as well as the future, the youngster could be the first arrival during the January transfer window.
Arsenal launch formal offer for Mykhaylo Mudryk
“You know that I never speak about players who are not with us,” Mikel Arteta said when asked about their transfer target. “I understand that you have to ask me the question.
“We said that we will try and find ways to strengthen the team [if[ we find the right players and that’s what I can say.”
Gabriel Jesus will be out for the next three months due to a knee injury he sustained during the 2022 World Cup. The Brazilian has undergone surgery for the injury, and it will be a while before he will be ready for the first team again.
Eddie Nketiah is the only natural striker available right now, and the presence of another key player like Mykhaylo Mudryk will help the team in realising their ambitions to win the league title.
