Arne Slot is expected to become the next Tottenham Hotspur manager, according to the Daily Mail. The Feyenoord manager guided his team to the Eredivisie title this past season, overcoming challenges from PSV and Ajax. 

The move depends on whether or not his agent will be able to negotiate an exit from Feyenoord this summer. Daniel Levy wants the Dutch manager to bring his brand of free flowing, attacking football to the club and is expected to be a good fit.

The 44-year-old’s team had restless pressing this season in the Dutch league, and played some very eye-catching football en route to the title. Slot is also known for counting on youth, which could help pave the way for the next generation of Tottenham Hotspur players. 

Arne Slot is a disciple of Pep Guardiola and uses inspiration from his tactics in his own teams. As a result, there is a resemblance between the two kinds of play which has proven to be an attractive prospect for Daniel Levy. 

There have been rumours that there is a £5 million release clause in Slot’s contract with Feyenoord. It remains to be seen whether Spurs will pay the amount, as they are known to be very tough negotiators. 

The future of Harry Kane will also be a key factor for the club, with the striker’s contract having only one year left at the end of the season.
