Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 might be getting mini-LED technology treatment

Apple finished its Spring Loaded event. During the event, the Cupertino giant promoted various new technology and products, which are expected to hit the market in the second half of 2021. But the major tech that Apple focused on was the new mini-LED technology.

According to the analyst firm TrendForce, the mini-LED 12.9-inch iPad Pro will be in huge demand and could easily shift five million units in this year alone. Considering the demand for the mini-LED panels could also mean that Apple will be selling its future products sporting the same tech.

According to previous rumors, Apple MacBook Pro 14 will have a Mini LED panel, and now we are hearing that the MacBook Pro 16 will also be sporting the same tech. Also, reports indicate that the new refreshed iPad Pro will have a hike in their prices mainly because it will sport the new in-demand mini-LED technology.

Apple didn’t confirm the soon-to-coming MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 devices; however, it is still speculated that the M1X chipset will power them. Also, it is expected that Apple will provide a CPU core boost from 8 cores to 12 cores, with the GPU part being particularly improved upon, morphing from a 7-core or 8-core unit in the current M1 Apple Silicon to a potential 16-core.

However, reports also indicate that the prices of the 2021 MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 will not be much aggressive compared to before. It may suggest that both the devices will not be getting the much-talked features like the XDR panels and M1X Apple Silicon.
