Apple’s Satellite-Based Emergency SOS will certainly Help the Lost

The Cupertino giant has finally launched its new iPhone 14 series with new features and specs, among them this Satellite-Based Emergency SOS is certainly a unique feature to look out for. Not a spec or hardware-based feature but essentially an important feature which isn’t talked about or offered, so Apple has stepped up its game this time.

This Emergency SOS feature is a thing already present on Apple devices alerting people when someone falls or in other emergency cases. Taking this even further Apple has launched the new Crash Detection feature that allows new iPhones and Apple watches to send emergency SOSes when someone meets a fatal car crash.

Now, Apple has engineered so well from this iPhone 14 series onwards that one doesn’t need to have an expensive and bulky satellite phone because the new iPhones will be able to directly connect to the satellite in the open sky in an emergency. If conditions are fine, according to Apple it will take less than 15 seconds to send a message or just use the Find My app to share a location.

Essentially in those extreme situations, Apple has made emergency messaging much simpler with predictive message suggestions to reduce the hassle, it directly forms a network of you, satellite and the ground station which can help you when needed. So, delivering Emergency SOS is much more easier and accessible in the most remote locations out there.

As you see Apple will eventually help users to event point to the satellite with its intuitive interface that will be available with iOS 16. So, although no one will want to get lost in some place where cell towers don’t work, however, if it’s someone’s profession then the new iPhone 14 series really makes sense and this Satellite-Based Emergency SOS is game-changing for many.
