This year Apple has surprised the tech community by releasing a lot of high-end products. Especially it’s A13 Bionic whose performance remains unmatched among mobile SoC’s. but the release of it’s latest A14 has taken the tech world by storm.

Last week Apple even announced a brand-new range of iPads, which borrowed many features from the ultra-premium iPad Pro range.

The question now is what to expect next in Apple’s tablet line-up?

Ming-Chi Kuo, who is well-known for accurately predicting what the Cupertino giant is up to behind its doors, has yet again given us a prediction.

According to him, Apple will launch a new iPad Pro as the first step towards the mass-adoption of next-gen display technology. The new iPad Pro will come mini-LED display.

For those in the dark, Apple has earlier announced that it will launch a series of next-generation products implementing the new min-LED display. This will include six mini-LED Macs & iPads and are supposed to be launched by the end of next year.

The mini-LED display is an alternative that combines tiny groups of LED’s to form individual pixels that make up the display. They offer several advantages including better contrast, richer colors, faster response times, and lower power consumption than OLED and LCDs.

There are even rumors that Apple is working with LG to make the display adoption happen.

Apple has provided the mini-LED display on its ultra-premium iPad Pro. Since mass-producing the mini-LED displays are expensive, it makes sense to include the displays in the premium iPads.

But, Kuo predicts a natural price drop in the cost of mass-producing mini-LED displays. He suggests that there will be a 50% drop in price by end of next year. This means that in a couple of years we can afford to purchase an iPad Pro without having to worry about astronomical price tags.

The next iPad Pro seems to be one heck of a device, it is also suggested that it’ll also come with other premium features like an iPhone-style triple camera array and an upgraded Apple Pencil.

Pricing rumors haven’t surfaced yet with regards to the new iPad Pro 2021. We can only hope that it’s affordable.
