It is said that the next iPad mini will be unveiled in October concurrently with the introduction of the first Macs equipped with the M4 series of chips, which will include the iMac, Mac mini, and 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models.

The reporter claims that Apple is developing new iPad models, including a refined little variant. It is expected that Cupertino will update the iPad mini and base model iPad 10 because the firm recently announced the new M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air.

It is said that the next iPad mini will be unveiled in October concurrently with the introduction of the first Macs equipped with the M4 series of chips, which will include the iMac, Mac mini, and 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. With the release of the iPad Pro, the M4 chip’s debut was completed. Apple held an online event on October 30, 2023, to introduce the MacBook Pro and iMac models that were equipped with the M3 series of CPUs.

Apple hasn’t, however, officially confirmed this year’s event. Prior to this, in September 2021, Apple unveiled the iPad mini, which boasts a larger 8.3-inch display, a USB-C port, a Touch ID power button, the A15 Bionic chip, support for 5G on cellular models, a 12-megapixel rear camera with Center Stage, compatibility with the second-generation Apple Pencil, and further noteworthy features.

The next iPad mini is expected to go into commercial production in the second half of 2024, as reported by Apple supply chain expert Ming-Chi Kuo. This confirms the information provided by several reliable sources that the tablet will be updated later this year.
