Apple’s new MacBook Pro is to launch with Upcoming M4 Chip

A new MacBook Pro model powered by a fourth-generation Apple Silicon CPU is apparently something Apple has started working on.

Apple’s new MacBook Pro is to launch with Upcoming M4 Chip details

There is no estimated release date for Apple’s new M4 chipset, which has not yet been released. Gurman has disclosed that the new MacBook Pro’s development has already begun. This suggests that Apple’s next-generation MacBook chipset is either almost finished or finished in development.

In October, Apple introduced M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max CPUs to the MacBook Pro series. A new 14-inch MacBook Pro base model with the M3 CPU took the place of the 13-inch Pro, which Apple discontinued as part of that redesign.

The Mac mini, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro are the only MacBooks and iMacs from the current generation that still have the M2 family of CPUs installed because Apple upgraded the iMac and MacBook Air with the M3 chip.

In line with the projected iOS 18 and macOS 15 releases, both chips are predicted to support additional Neural Engine cores for AI-related activities. The A17 Pro chip’s neural engine, in contrast, has a processing speed of up to 35 trillion operations per second.

The M4 chip will probably stay 3nm like the M3 chip because Apple’s chipmaking partner TSMC is anticipated to start producing chips in large quantities using its 2nm process in the second half of 2025. For better performance and power efficiency, the M4 chip will probably be produced using an upgraded version of TSMC’s 3nm technology.
