Apple’s iPhone 13 order experiencing longer wait periods due to supply chain constraints

Apple’s iPhone 13 has been launched and it didn’t take much time for the new iPhone to become one of the most sold smartphones of this year. According to a report the iPhone 13 models have been sold out quickly after the new lineup officially went on sale in September.

As of now, it is being reported that there are much longer wait times for all variants, even for the iPhone 13 mini, which was predicted to be the least popular, just like its predecessor, the iPhone 12 mini. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook states that the Cupertino-based technology giant is working tirelessly to improve supplies however, the current situation is not showing any immediate signs of improvement.

Apple CEO is pleased with the overall demand for the iPhone 13 series when compared to last year’s iPhone 12 lineup, however, the major problem now is that due to supply constraints there are long wait times for customers wanting to get their hands on any of the newly released models. Another issue here is that Apple’s M1 Pro and M1 Max are mass-produced on the same A15 Bionic running in the iPhone 13 series, hence the chip shortage might also affect the sales in the coming months.

According to previous reports, TSMC has given priority to Apple over other customers for chip shipments purely based on the technology giant’s order of insanely large volumes. However, even the world’s largest chip manufacturer is having a hard time keeping up with demand, with a previous rumor claiming that the manufacturer might be forced to delay its 3nm chips.

Tim Cook doesn’t specify as to when the long wait time for iPhone 13 lineup will be over, however, chances are that we might have to wait longer for it to arrive.
