Earlier Apple users were hit by a new bug which made some users face difficulty signing in to iCloud and even set up an account. Some users were affected by the issue starting from the day of Christmas, but the Cupertino giant quickly resolved the issue.
The company managed to resolve the issue within 36 hours, which is extremely impressive. And not to mention that the issue made us ask several questions regarding Apple’s traffic management capacity. Apple Support tweeted said it was “experiencing a high capacity at this time, which is impacting your ability to set up iCloud, please try back in a couple of hours.”
It was indeed not clear how wide-spread the problem was, but according to sources, the damage was only to Apple’s reputation. In the wake of a recent cyberattack on the American government organizations by Russian hackers, It’s still too early to think that the problem was caused by only server traffic and not by any other third party.
It’s Apple we are talking about here if the company says it maintains strict security and is only related to server traffic then you better believe it. The tech giant has a track record of being overly cautious and well-prepared in user data privacy.
