A recent report claims that after a number of smartphone manufacturers, Apple is also going to launch its first foldable iPhone in the future. It is not the first time we are hearing such kind of news. Earlier, we also got a similar kind of news regarding the foldable segment of Apple. But, Apple has not confirmed anything yet as it is currently working on the foldable technology. As per reports, the company is already getting iPhone testing samples from a Taiwanese factory.
To get a huge and trustable supply chain for its first foldable segment, Apple has signed a partnership with companies like Hon Hai and Shin Nikko. It is expected that Apple will use an OLED or a Micro LED for the display panel. We are not quite sure whether Apple will use the AMOLED panel of Samsung for the display of its future foldable smartphones. As it will be a foldable one, we can expect a punch-hole or under-display selfie camera in place of the regular big notch selfie camera for iPhones.
Let’s talk about the foldable display. As of now, nothing is confirmed. But we can assume how it can be in the future. The design might be a single continuous display when opened, and some technology will be there to make the display wider or expanded. We will not see the two separate display panels. Another report has also come out that after launching the foldable iPhone, Apple will discontinue the iPad Mini. It can be a hybrid foldable iPhone which will look like an iPad Mini. That’s why Apple is taking such decision.
