Apple has scheduled a virtual launch event for Monday, October 18 where it is expected to introduce new Apple MacBook Pro and AirPods models. Ahead of the event, @Apple_Tomorrow has published renders of what the pair could look like. As far as we can tell, @Apple_Tomorrow has based the renders on recent leaks, including that Apple has switched to 14:9 displays.
Howover, the renders look a lot like the current MacBook Pro 13 and MacBook Pro 16. However, their replacements are thought to feature slimmer display bezels, which we can see in the renders.
The new laptops from Apple are said to come in 14-inch and 16-inch models with Mini-LED displays that will also have smaller bezels on all sides and no logo at the bottom of the screen. The screen is also said to be accompanied by a 1080p webcam. The base variants of the MacBook Pro models can get 16GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage and the base Apple M1X will have the same configuration for both variants.
The MacBook Pro models will no longer feature the Touch Bar. The new laptops are said to get HDMI, an SD card slot, and a MagSafe port. The upcoming MacBook Pro models would get Mini-LED displays with the possibility of a 120Hz refresh rate and oxide backplanes.
Finally, the M1X MacBook Pro models will feature a new charging brick. That’s to be expected if MagSafe charging is about to return. Apple will introduce the new M1X MacBook Pro on Monday during a virtual press event. That’s when we’ll know everything there is to know about specs, top configurations, and prices.
