Apple to have limited in-person attendance at WWDC 2022 after 2 years

Apple has revealed that this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference is happening between June 6th and June 10th. The event will be streamed online as usual, but the Cupertino giant has now revealed that this year there will be in-person attendance as well.

The opening keynote will be pre-recorded, but the Apple Park at 1 Infinite Loop which is the company’s headquarters will open its doors to only a select number of developers.

The group of developers who have been selected and are eligible to attend can watch the keynote and communicate with Apple’s engineers and designers.

All of them will be present during the keynote, the ones who wish to attend had to apply via an online form earlier this week, Apple has now been sending confirmation emails to the lucky ones as per sources.

If you are lucky enough, you would have recieved Apple’s invite by now!

However, there is a catch. In order to make sure the event does not end up becoming a super-spreader of the virus, Apple has imposed certain terms and conditions. All attendees “must follow Apple’s health and safety protocols,” which means they need to get a negative COVID-19 test mandatorily and show it before they enter the premises.

Apple has made it voluntary to wear masks, once inside all the developers will get a detailed tour of the new Developer Center at Apple Park.

Do not worry, even if you are unable to attend the event in person, you can always watch it online!
