Apple is tending to work on its own search engine competing with Google

As per the reports, Apple is in the works to make its own search engine that will replace Google. As per the reason, the relation between Apple and Google isn’t that good right now. At this time, Google pays Apple between $10B and $12B a year to be the main search engine of Apple. But soon the deal will expire as Apple has reported an antitrust case against Google by the US Department as well. This the main reason behind the working on a new search engine by Apple.

It is not the first time this kind of problem arrives. That’s why Apple has been working in this search engine tech for a long time ago. Back in 2014, Applebot was first reported and right now, it has increased its rate substantially. In terms of Apple’s latest iOS 14, it’s home screen search technology has begun to link directly to websites (bypassing Google).

As of now, we do not have much information that on what type of search engine Apple is working currently, like what will be its shape or facilities. If this search engine from Apple can serve as brilliantly as Google.com, then it will a huge technological advancement by Apple. Moreover, Apple’s own assistant Siri is also there. So, the assistant will not be a problem at all.

And the last thing is privacy. If one company is making a search engine, then it should give a proper commitment to its users in terms of privacy. Keeping this in mind, Apple CEO Tim Cook once said to its customers:

“Our business model is very straightforward: We sell great products. We don’t build a profile based on your email content or web browsing habits to sell to advertisers. We don’t “monetize” the information you store on your iPhone or in iCloud. And we don’t read your email or your messages to get information to market to you.”
