## What’s Actually New Over the iPhone 16e

Three upgrades stand out. First, **MagSafe finally arrives** — the iPhone 16e’s biggest missing feature is fixed, unlocking the full ecosystem of magnetic accessories and boosting wireless charging from 7.5W to 15W. Second, **base storage doubles** from 128GB to 256GB with no price penalty for that capacity jump. Third, the **C1X modem** is up to 2x faster and more power-efficient than the C1 in the 16e.

The A19 chip is the same silicon as in the standard iPhone 17, albeit with a 4-core GPU instead of 5-core — close enough in performance for everyday use, gaming included. The iPhone 17e also includes Apple’s N1 chip for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a first for the e-series. Satellite connectivity — Emergency SOS, Messages via satellite, Crash Detection — rounds out a spec sheet that leaves very little unaddressed at this price.

The ₹5,000 increase over the iPhone 16e’s launch price is offset by the storage upgrade, making the value proposition genuinely strong. As TechnoSports has noted, [Apple](https://www.apple.com/in/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-17e) has effectively addressed every major criticism of the 16e in a single generation.

EMI options start from ₹11,327/month, with ₹5,000 instant cashback available on select bank cards.
