Finally, this year’s Apple annual iPhone-centric event has been slated to go down at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California, on Monday, September 9, 2023. Starting at 10:00 AM, the event will feature only a limited audience of delegated press. Not only will the event concern the iPhone 16 lineups, but new Apple watches and AirPods 4 models.

Furthermore, the slated release dates of the iOS 18, and macOS Sequoia updates will be announced during the event. The iPhone 16 models that are allegedly set to launch with a Customizable Action Button and a new Capture Button for easier photography. The Capture Button, located on the right side of the devices below the power button, is expected to support built-in gestures like swiping to zoom or a soft press for autofocus.
All models of the iPhone 16 will be equipped with an A18 chip, which is going to allow for support for the ‘Apple Intelligence’ features debuting in iOS 18. For the standard iPhone 16 models, no major new features are expected, but the Pro lineup will see a display size increase to 6.3 inches for the Pro and get even larger at 6.9 inches for the Max. The 5x Telephoto zoom feature – which Pro Max got last year, will now come to both of the Pro models as well.
Regarding the Apple Watch, the Series 10 is expected to feature a thinner design with a slightly larger display, though the changes won’t be dramatic. Apple is also planning to update the Apple Watch SE and the Apple Watch Ultra. New health features, such as sleep apnea detection and blood pressure monitoring, might be introduced, though it’s unclear if they will be ready in time for this year’s launch. As for the AirPods 4, Apple is reportedly preparing two models: one that succeeds the current AirPods 3 and another that offers Active Noise Cancellation at a non-pro price.
