The 16 Pro and Pro Max’s improved battery performance is expected to appeal to a large number of customers; nevertheless, the higher cost of battery replacements could be a disadvantage, especially for those without access to AppleCare.
Positively, Apple has not increased the cost for battery replacements for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, so users will still just have to pay the same $99.99.
