Later this year, the Apple iPhone 15 series is scheduled to go on sale, and its design is anticipated to undergo some significant changes. New solid state buttons are rumoured to be one of these significant changes, and a recent report has provided more information. It was previously reported on the Cupertino-based company’s plans to introduce the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with solid state buttons.
A recent report, however, has revealed that the volume rockers themselves are also being updated with a single new set of unified volume buttons. In other words, the device won’t have two separate volume buttons like the models from earlier generations, but rather a single long volume rocker.
According to the most recent renders leak, the Apple iPhone 15 Pro CAD model has two pins in a single indentation rather than two pins in two indentations.
However, YouTuber ZoneOfTech added that the “mute switch will also switch to a singular press button, rather than the up and down switch that we have now.” This is one of the most significant changes since the switch to mute the iPhone has been a feature for some time.
For those who are unaware, the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 Pro models’ power and volume controls will feature haptic feedback thanks to the new solid state buttons. According to reports, this will use two more Taptic Engines than the Apple iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 15 and perhaps the Apple iPhone 15 Plus, on the other hand, will probably still have mechanical buttons.
