Apple: iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8 and much more expected on September 7th Apple Event

On Wednesday, September 7, Apple’s annual fall event focused on the iPhone is scheduled to start. Unlike last year, there will be an in-person component with media invited to test our new smartphones.

The 5.4-inch iPhone small is being cancelled owing to weak sales, which is the largest change to the iPhone 14. There are still four iPhones coming this year, but the iPhone 13 small will be the final model to come in the 5.4-inch size.

We can anticipate seeing the 6.1-inch iPhone 14, the 6.7-inch “iPhone 14 Plus” or “iPhone 14 Max,” the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max as Apple is replacing the 5.4-inch iPhone with a larger 6.7-inch model. The 6.7-inch regular iPhone under development was widely believed to be dubbed the iPhone 14 Max, following the Pro Max naming pattern, but recent speculations suggest that it may really be called the iPhone 14 Plus.

The regular iPhone 14 models will essentially appear the same as the iPhone 13 models, with the most of the changes reserved for the more expensive Pro models, aside from the difference in size. There won’t be any visual modifications, the Face ID notch will remain, and ProMotion technology isn’t anticipated to be included in the iPhone 14 models.

According Apple rumours, the iPhone 14 and 14 Max won’t even get a new A-series processor; instead, they’ll stick with the A15 seen in the iPhone 13 models. Although there are a few new features coming, the iPhone 14 models are more of an iPhone 13S upgrade.

The iPhone 14 models will sport an enhanced front-facing camera with a larger f/1.9 aperture and autofocus capabilities, as well as the upgraded Ultra Wide camera that was added to the iPhone 13 models last year.

The Pro line is receiving a considerably more significant update than the basic iPhone 14 models, which will only see minor tweaks. The 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes won’t change, but Apple may do away with the notch. Apple will utilise a pill-shaped cutout and a hole-punch cutout in place of the notch, and both will house the front-facing camera and the TrueDepth technology required for Face ID.

Apple intends to use software to integrate these two separate cutouts into a single extended pill-shaped notch.

The long-awaited Always-On Display feature, which is anticipated to behave similarly to the Apple Watch always-on display, will be made possible by the speculated inclusion of a 1Hz to 120Hz ProMotion display in the iPhone 14 Pro versions.

Similar to the standard iPhone 14, the front-facing camera will have a larger f/1.9 aperture and focusing capabilities. One of the greatest camera enhancements we’ve seen on the iPhone line in years will be made possible by a new 48-megapixel Wide lens with a 21 percent bigger sensor that permits higher-resolution photos and 8K video recording.

The iPhone 14 Pro models might start at a higher price because of all the enhancements; Apple may decide to raise pricing by about $100. The iPhone 14 Pro would start at $1,099 and the iPhone 14 Pro Max at $1,199 if that were to occur, but no exact pricing information is known at this time.

It is anticipated that there won’t be any significant visual changes between the Apple Watch Series 8 and Series 7. Apple will continue to provide devices in the 41mm and 45mm sizes, and the S8 chip inside is anticipated to perform similarly to the S7.

The Apple Watch Series 8 is not likely to provide a particular temperature reading, only track variations over time because taking a core body temperature reading is more accurate than taking a reading from the skin.

The Apple Watch Series 8 may include fall detection and car crash detection as features. An increase in gravitational force would be picked up by the accelerometer, which would subsequently, if necessary, alert the emergency services.

Apple intends to release a more expensive “Apple Watch Pro” with the Apple Watch Series 8 models, albeit it may go by a different moniker. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new design of the Apple Watch “pro” is “an development of the current rectangular shape.”

It will be bigger than the existing 45mm Apple Watch Series 7 and have a screen that measures two inches diagonally instead of the 45mm Apple Watch’s 1.9-inch diagonal screen size. The display will have a resolution of 410 x 502, and the increased screen real estate might be used to show more health metrics.

The Apple Watch Pro isn’t simply a more expensive model of the Apple Watch; it’s also more durable and designed for people who require additional protection for extreme sports and other strenuous activities. It will have a shatter-resistant display and be composed of a titanium alloy that is better equipped to withstand misuse.
