According to reports, Apple supplier Quanta Computer is getting ready to manufacture new MacBooks. Quanta Computer anticipates a high single-digit percentage increase in notebook assembly in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the first quarter.

A 15-inch MacBook Air from Apple may finally be unveiled at the next Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, according to recent rumours. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst for Apple’s supply chain, stated that the M2 processor would be used in the first-generation 15-inch MacBook Air. The new model has a bigger display even though there haven’t been any known modifications to the outside appearance.

Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air was introduced at last year’s WWDC, and it featured the M2 chip, a MagSafe 3 charging port, two Thunderbolt 3 connections, a 3.5mm headphone socket, a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and a Force Touch touchpad. The starting price for this model is $1,199, and it is available in Midnight, Starlight, Space Grey, and Silver.

It’s unclear whether any more MacBook models will be announced during WWDC by Apple.

The new Apple 13-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro models featuring the M3 CPU will not be available until later this year. The company’s M3 Macs are expected to make their debut in the second half of 2023. The M3 processor is expected to be used in these new models, which include the 13-inch MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini.

More powerful versions of its M3 processor, known as the M3 Pro and M3 Max, are expected to be released for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, the latter type is not projected to be released until the first half of 2024. Only three months ago, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models were updated with the M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs.
