Yes, Apple has finally confirmed its upcoming launch event titled ‘Scary Fast’ on October 30th, just next week, to mark the launch of the next-generation Macs. While there were a lot of rumours that Apple might skip the M3 launch this year, off late the ever-reliable Mark Gurman did confirm that there would be a launch event at the end of this month.
Apple confirms ‘Scary Fast’ M3 launch event on October 30th: New Macs Incoming!
It makes sense for the Cupertino giant to make a separate Mac event and it was necessary to update the M2 to the newer M3 chipset as the company promised an 18-month upgrade cycle for its Macs. However, no one could actually predict if that would be the case as there were no leaks whatsoever this time on the availability or specs of these new M3-powered MacBooks or iMacs.
The new M3 chipset will be made out of a brand new 3nm process, so, expect a better performance this time with higher efficiency than the ‘not-so-convincing’ M2 chipset. However, we do not know about availability but there could be potential delays and it will interesting to see the availability of these upcoming Macs.
Talking about new Macs, we expect Apple to launch a new MacBook Air for sure, an updated 13-inch MacBook Pro and an updated 24-inch iMac as well. It’s highly unlikely to see MacBook Pros or even Mac Minis be updated so soon as they were launched this year itself, but yes, you can always expect something surprising from Apple!
